Insurance and Fees

Therapy is an investment in your emotional, physical, and relational health. We do our best to make the process as transparent as possible so you know what to expect before we ever meet.

Insurance At this time, I accept select insurance plans for individual therapy sessions through secure telehealth.

Because insurance participation can change, the most accurate way to confirm coverage is to:

  • Check my profile on the scheduling platform you use (such as Headway or Zocdoc), and/or

  • Contact your insurance company and ask if I am in-network for outpatient mental health counseling.

If we are in-network, you will typically be responsible only for your copay, coinsurance, or deductible amount as determined by your plan.

Self-Pay (Private Pay) Rates For clients who prefer not to use insurance or who are out-of-network, my current private pay rates are:

  • Initial intake session (50–60 minutes): $100

  • Ongoing individual sessions (50 minutes): $100

Payment is due at the time of service. I accept major credit/debit cards and HSA/FSA cards.

Sliding Scale Options I reserve a limited number of reduced-fee spots for clients who are experiencing financial hardship.

If cost is the main barrier to starting therapy, please mention this when you reach out. Together, we can explore whether a sliding scale spot is available or discuss other options.

Out-of-Network Reimbursement If I am not in-network with your insurance plan, you may still be able to receive reimbursement for a portion of your sessions.

Upon request, I can provide a monthly superbill (an itemized receipt) that you can submit directly to your insurance company. Reimbursement depends on your specific out-of-network benefits.

Cancellation Policy Your appointment time is reserved just for you. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice.

Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice, or missed appointments, may be charged a late-cancel / no-show fee up to the full session rate. This fee cannot be billed to insurance.

Good Faith Estimate Under the No Surprises Act, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate explaining how much your mental health care may cost.

If you are not using insurance, I can provide a Good Faith Estimate in writing before we begin therapy or at any time during treatment. This estimate is based on the information available at the time and is meant to help you plan for your care.
